This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.
ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.
In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

It should be like an on and off setting, not always on with every search leading to chatgpt. sometimes i like to see the picures/videos i get with google.
It might be good, but it directly opens ChatGPT website for search query. People are not okay with this.
i'm using the chat gpt chrome extension for a while now but its so frustrating because on google search i get most results and with images and vid links. review by chat gpt: Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ Title: Disrupts Standard Search Experience Review: While the integration of ChatGPT into the browser sounded promising, this extension significantly altered my default search behavior. Instead of enhancing my browsing, it redirected all searches through ChatGPT, limiting access to comprehensive Google results, including images and videos. This unexpected change hindered my usual workflow. Users should be clearly informed about such modifications upfront. I hope future updates offer more transparency and customizable settings.
Chat GPT is very helpful, specially like me a law student could easily get a topic from it.

Impressive on Edge - ChatGPT is quickly adapting to efficiently dominate more classic "web search engine" use cases.
Doesn't work, just gives me "Can't read or change site's data" if I try to click on "on all sites" it is gereyed out.
Very Efficient
It is literally just a quicker way to access ChatGPT. I thought it would be like Gemini where it would summarize a page and what not. Nope, so this is a lazy excuse of a "search engine".
