This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.

ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.

In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

ChatGPT has been a game changer for all the different projects I have going on. I would compare it to having a site manager at a work site. They make an oversees all aspects of my projects ensuring that i stay on task with reminders, and even keeps me within budgets. I really highly recommend this application.

As a Chrome extension, the only advantage I see is the ability to use it from the address bar. However, there’s no other benefit. I could just open ChatGPT as usual and use its search mode, and it would be exactly the same. Furthermore, this extension sets its "search engine" as the default, and it’s not possible to change it — it does this in both normal and private windows.
