This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.
ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.
In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

It only intercepts searches from the address bar, keeping it nicely separate from the search box on the default page. It's not something I'll use a lot, but it's handy sometimes.
It is nice, but It would be great if it could switch flexibly with Google Search, the simplest way is support shutdown/start up by hotkeys, many extensions can do that! Now I have to remove it from my extensions.
i can find everything just the same as google and other sites. this site says it can create pdf and mp4 download links for for over 3 weeks now all the links say expired interepter it regenerates a link says the same thing. i tried different web browsers and cleared my cookies cache. re started same garbage. i was gonna upgrade but i seen people been complaining about this issue since 2023 and still is not fixed. i tried opening a new chat and having a new link generated and still fails to work. i give up on the site no need for me to use a broken site that cant produce what i want it to do. it just gives broken responses and cant even generate a working logo that i upload that is downloadable. no response from chat gpt except the generic response everyone gets about trying a new window clearing cookies and cache. i tried work arounds i found on line nothing works . been broken 3 weeks i wont upgrade now. if it can generate working links ill upgrade.
I found I didn't appreciate the total removal of the ability to get web search results rather than an LLM. I wish I could manually opt-in to changing search to Chatgpt. For now, I'll keep the ChatGPT open in another tab.
Por lo menos hoy que estoy escribiendo (23 de abril 2025), hice mi primera búsqueda, preguntando por requisitos para un trámite en un Ayuntamiento. Eso mismo pregunté ayer sin la extensión y es para un trámite que ya he hecho anteriormente, solo quería verificar los documentos, poque son muchos. Encontré grandes diferencias. Chat GPT omitió requisitos. Consecuentemente escribí que ya había hecho el trámite y que estaba omitiendo cierto documento, a lo que me respondió: "Tienes toda la razón en señalar la omisión de [nombra el documento...]. Este documento es indispensable para tramitar [...]" Inmediatamente quité la extensión (la volví a instalar momentáneamente solo para escribir esta reseña) y no la pienso utilizar por lo menos en un tiempo cuando vea excelentes reseñas.
Sen geliştinde arama motoru olmaya mı karar verdin. Şimdilik sadece onun asistanı olursun. Tüm aramalar yerine spesifik aramalar için olsaydı daha faydalı olurdu
