This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.
ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.
In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

移除插件后在google搜索还是会自动跳转gpt research模式，到现在都没成功卸载。同意创新，但是请给用户选择的权力。
chatgpt has errors in the chrome extension, you don't send an update, it's very bad, it helps better in google chrome, it's great
Meh. As a recent reviewer put it, there's so much they could do with an extension. Instead, they simply went one rung above just going to ChatGPT directly, but worse. I already have ChatGPT at my fingertips. This extension just gets in my way. I use Google constantly, and most of those searches don't really warrant ChatGPT. This actually slows me down. The extension desperately needs to provide some flexibility. The most immediate pain point is that I select text and use "Search Google" from the context menu, all the time. That's usually for things that just need a quick response, not a treatise. I'd love it if I could configure it to just use ChatGPT from the omni bar, but leave the context menu to search Google. However, it should also simply allow for us to quickly switch between Google and ChatGPT. As it is, I'll be removing this extension, after being excited about it yesterday. Swing and miss, OpenAI.
