This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.
ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.
In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

Très consommateur pour des recherches toutes simples. Pas encore nécessaire de l'avoir comme moteur de recherche par défaut
Not bad. However, I don't want every search to be mixed with my GPT conversations. In ChatGPT the conversations are usually long with some back and forth. When searching for "weather" or "100 EUR to USD", I don't want those 1,000s of conversations to be added.

They must be using one of their weakest models to power this extension...like 4o mini at best.
It's nowhere near to be an alternative to google. It should make a google like interface first to implement this properly. You see a very limited items with this search. OpenAi should have released it in a more mature manner. 1st impression matters!
Jediné, co umí, že změní výchozího poskytovatele vyhledávání na ChatGPT místo Google nebo jiného a nemáte šanci to v nastavení prohlížeče přepnout zpět. Jedině extension znovu odinstalovat. Doporučuji se proto raději vyhnout tomuto rozšíření.

!g fails with some specific characters. For example this search: "!g żółć" will always fail. These are common polish characters, which makes it annoying to use.
Useless
I don't want to completely replace my search engine. Instead of using !g for Google, how about using !c for ChatGPT? I still want Google to be my main search engine. Or better is create a separate search tab dedicated to ChatGPT.
