This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.
ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.
In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

Does not offer a search option only a blank page with recent web pages. It can take you to standard GPT. Fail

The ONLY thing this extension does, is set this URL as the default search engine: "https://chatgpt.com/?q={searchTerms}&hints=search&ref=ext" Nothing else. But now with this feature, if you want to quickly prompt ChatGPT from the address bar, without replacing google, you can just add this as a custom search engine, that is enabled with a keyword. You can also add one without search by removing the parameter, and even with temporary mode ("temporary-chat=true"). I think instead of replacing the default search engine, which most people will not want, the extension should add it as a custom search engine (you can use only when you want, by typing a keyword), which lots of extensions do. This way it would be taken most advantage of, but as it is right now, it ends up not being useful as people don't want to replace te default search engine completely. Anyway, nice try on creating a useful extension, OpenAI.
I don’t know what the folks at OpenAI have been smoking. I install 'this,' and it replaces Google as the address bar search engine with their own. Hahaha, what a bunch of geniuses. Alright, folks, time to sleep.

High marks! Not everywhere in the world you can pay for a subscription; somewhere around $20 is a lot of money; the app’s rating is lowered by such countries. Work on access and regional cost. The search bar is better left, let it work in frame, on the right side.
