This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.
ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.
In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

After i downloaded this and looked something up, i got a notification from my dad saying hes going to put me up for adoption because i ate all of the peanut butter out of the jars again

isso não é exatamente sugestão para a extensão: o ChatGPT já deveria ter espaços de trabalho para separar o histórico, daí eu criaria um para coisas importantes e outro para aleatoriedades, obviamente a extensão deveria ter o seu já que usaria muito no dia a dia, ficaria muito bagunçado o histórico. sugestão para a extensão: não sequestrar minha busca, apenas adicionar um botão na página do google que ele sim iria sequestrar minha busca que fiz no google para pesquisar no ChatGPT

It doesn't work but if you manually add ChatGPT search with the url 'https://chatgpt.com/?q=%s' (without quotes) as your default search engine then you won’t have anymore issues with it. Profit!
Links don't ever seem to work when I try to click them in ChatGPT (in general) so this extension is not very helpful. I have to ask it to fix the links before I can use them. It suggests I clear my cache etc to make links work, but I don't need to do those extra steps to click links when using anything else, it just works. I also agree with others that starting a new chat each search is really going to clutter up my GPT dashboard. I am looking forward to future iterations of this, but for now it isn't very practical for me yet.
La idea es buena, pero en la práctica no es viable abrir una pestaña con la misma interfaz de ChatGPT para hacer una búsqueda, uso mucho ChatGPT me es más rápido y útil buscarlo directamente en ChatGPT, quizás para usuarios que no le den un uso constante a ChatGPT sea útil. Sería bueno una interfaz lo más parecida a un buscador tradicional con ambos resultados.
Finally, I am happy to get rid of google, I was barely using that anyway because of ChatGPT. I love it. But there is one thing that need to be improved, they should create a search history section in ChatGPT and add our search chats there instead of crowding our actual conversions with ChatGPT alongside searches, its really bad. I know it will improve further. Some folks complaining that its not working in chrome, Its working fine in both Edge, Chrome and any other browser. I am sure it will improve over time.
