This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.
ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.
In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

Does it only work on Mac? Surely doesn't do anything on Chrome on Linux. I haven't tried on Windows yet, but judging from the comments here, I don't think it work for many people. Google Search is still default, and I couldn't even get an option to change my default search engine. Removing again for now, might come back later when you have actually testet that your extension works.
Расширение, очевидно, неплохое, но как будто бы пока нет желания отказываться от нормального и привычного поисковика. Не вполне уверен, насколько это реализуемо, но было бы значительно удобнее, если бы после вбития запроса в строку поиска появлялся условный выбор между "традиционным" методом поиска и переходом к ChatGPT. Да и, как отметили многие, тот факт, что для каждого запроса создаётся отдельный диалог... Ну такое~~~. Пока чувствуется, что расширение "сыровато", но, разумеется, потенциал есть. Пока же проще закрепить вкладку с ИИ и, когда надо, пользоваться им.
This doesn't do anything. When I click on the installed icon, it takes me to this page. Right-clicking is exactly the same. There are no instructions and anyone saying it's working for them aren't explaining how they got it working (which I find suspect).
This doesn't work. How did you guys make it work!?

La idea me hizo ilusión pero en la practica lo desactive en el primer uso, porque no quiero que se abra la interfaz de GPT con cada busqueda, estaria bien que la extensión te permita interactuar al mismo tiempo que ves la busqueda de google como un chat integrado en el buscador, pero mas que eso lo veo torpe. Bueno esto ultimo creo que lo hará Gemini así que esperaremos

Nice to know that after installing this extension, we can continue to use Google search as default, and as needed, use chatgpt search from the Search bar by configuring it with whatever desirable keyword we want. I use @gpt.
Очень классно, добавить бы опцию что бы был выбор, начинать поиск в новом чате каждый раз как сейчас или всё таки сделать отдельный чат куда будут отправляться все поисковые запросы из адресной строки. И правда очень напрягает. По сути, я отказался почти от использования расширения и закрепил вкладку с чатгпт, а в ней уже "гуглю".
