This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.

ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.

In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

I'm in the UK, however any links it provides (to Amazon or whatever) are normally US. Not as useful as Bing or Google - yet.

I do not like that it opens and stores a new chat window with each google search. That can add up really quickly. There should be a better way to organize into folders the searches/chats on the left side.

can work very well for asking questions and reasoning, but for basic web search google is still better. I will be keeping google as search engine and go to the chatgpt website when i need any more advanced reasoning oposed to simple web scraping.

You can make it google search with !g [search string] but imo the default behaviour should be google only if i say, GPT [search] ideally id like to set that command, so Bob, tell me about, Bob whats the weather. Without the "Bob" it should default to my preferred search engine
