Note: You must be logged in to chatgpt.com to use ChatGPT search.

This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.

ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.

In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

This is a stupid extension. I deleted it and opt to use Bing as default. I now can opt to use Chat Gpt as a search engine by putting @chat in the search bar. I did this by: 1. I went to Chrome Settings > Search Engine > Site Search 2. I add Chat GPT as the name 2. @chat as the short cut 3. Input for quire: https://chatgpt.com/?q=%s I can now opt to use Chat GPT as my search engine if I think it will be best suited for the task.

Great, but would prefer to be able to choose between using GPT or Google. eg. When right clicking, and selecting 'search using google, or searcg using gpt.

Love this, exactly what I've been looking for. However I suuport being able to toggle the option of the chats being temporary. My history is getting cluttered!

L'extension a été développée rapidement. Elle possède un grand potentiel qui n'est pas encore exploité. Il reste à voir si cela sera fait à l'avenir.

I have been using ChatGPT as a replacement search engine to Google ever since I started using it, I quickly became a subscription member to ChatGPT so today when it suggested to me that I install the chrome plugin to replace Google as the default search engine I didn't hesitate!

In some ways it is quite good, but the way it swaps for the chrome search makes is useless. When I ask for some code I want the github page, not an approximation of the code, with ridiculously stupid errors shown to me.

Would be good if the searches were made as temporary sessions by default, instead of saving each search as a new chat in my chat history. Becomes cluttered fast, plus I don't want my whole search history data saved to my OpenAI account.

Today, I changed my default search engine for the first time in 20 years. If I could, I’d give this app 6 stars! Gone are the clutter of 10 blue links, scattered images, and endless ads. Now, when you ask a question, ChatGPT Search provides a solution rather than just a list of results. When links are helpful, a clean, ad-free snackbar pops up with a traditional result set on the right. After a few surprised searches directly from the address bar, you'll probably add a small Google bookmark up top—just in case. But soon, Google might only handle 1 in 10 of your queries. For example, when I searched "song chords for Wicked Game," ChatGPT Search gave me exactly what I needed: the chords, tablature, and a single link to Songsterr. No ads, no noise—just straight to the answer. I started playing the song immediately. This isn’t an overstatement: it’s going to redefine how we search on the internet. Google just got its notice. Get ready to witness history. (p.s. I used gpt to clean up my word salad but these thoughts are 100% mine)
