The EU regulations require that any website using tracking cookies must get user's permission before installing them. Imagine how irritating that becomes when you surf anonymously or if you delete cookies automatically every time you close the browser.
In most cases, it just blocks or hides cookie related pop-ups. When it's needed for the website to work properly, it will automatically accept the cookie policy for you (sometimes it will accept all and sometimes only necessary cookie categories, depending on what's easier to do). It doesn't delete cookies.

Breaks functionality on some sites because they REQUIRE you to accept cookies.

Extension has the annoying side effect of removing functionality of webforms (effectively blocking the field for data entry) and scrollbars on a lot of sites (eg packet tracking sites, banking sites).
was running traces on my computer to see what was causing lag and this extension was at the top of the list a lot. even on a 2-second trace at a static web-site it had tons of activity. disable/remove this to gain a bit of performance on your computer i guess, and with other reports of data selling etc im not surprised. thought this was a very passive thing.

works, gets rid off the force to choose accept or deny prompt from using a site
Works great overall! I did run into an issue on www.museum.nl, though. The page becomes unscrollable, so the dialog has to be completed manually by the user. I had to whitelist the site to disable the plugin, and once I did that, everything worked as expected. This seems like a detection issue.
