To provide website visitors the ability to prevent their data from being collected and used by Google Analytics, we have developed the Google Analytics opt out Browser extension for the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, dc.js).
If you want to opt out, download and install the extension for your web browser. In order to function, the opt out extension must be able to load and execute properly on your browser. Updates to your browser or operating system may affect the functionality of the opt out extension. More information about managing your extensions for Chrome can be found at https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/187443?hl=en_GB.

Like all the "add on" that Google presents, this one actually does nothing of the sort it implies - you simply can't avoid Google posting your activities and selling them for a few cents to advertisers. Best to just "OPT OUT" of Google altogether if you wish for any privacy to the files in your "Documents".

"not working the added to chrome button" Lol, the 'Added To Chrome' button only appears after added. Great App - Does exactly what it's supposed to. In case there are those who are less tech-savvy out there, this is just an app to prevent your click-throughs on the internet visible to websites measuring your traffic with Google Analytics.

Just installed the extension. I primarily installed it so that my browser does not send Google analytics information to my own sites and blogs, but I don't have any control over which websites I want to opt out of sending information to Google analytics. I would like to be able to configure the add on to opt out for specific sites instead of all or nothing. I addition to letting users opt out of Google analytics completely, it could be a great user friendly tool for google analytics users to exclude internal traffic. I know you can add ip address or cookie filters to do the same, but i don't have static ip addresses and installing an extension will be much easier than messing with cookie based filters.
Not working. Analytics see my activity on my website.
