To provide website visitors the ability to prevent their data from being collected and used by Google Analytics, we have developed the Google Analytics opt out Browser extension for the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, dc.js).
If you want to opt out, download and install the extension for your web browser. In order to function, the opt out extension must be able to load and execute properly on your browser. Updates to your browser or operating system may affect the functionality of the opt out extension. More information about managing your extensions for Chrome can be found at https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/187443?hl=en_GB.
By installing this extension, you agree to the Chrome Web Store Terms of Service at https://ssl.gstatic.com/chrome/webstore/intl/en/gallery_tos.html and the Google Analytics opt out Browser Add-on Terms of Service at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/intl/en_uk/eula_text.html.

Only function that I wish was available was to only opt-out on certain websites. I don't care if I am tracked on most sites, but when I am making changes to my own website I want to be not show my self visiting my own website.
Google's gone overboard with being "helpful". I don't want an attempt to anticipate what I am searching for based on my past searches BECAUSE what I am searching for is not based on my past searches. The "help" is so limiting that I need to get comfy with another browser. One that's less helpful (read intrusive).
How about getting the documentation to actually instruct clearly on the way to do this only for website? Google shouldn't even provide this extension, or at least provide configuration to choose which sites to deactivate analytics... I'm a proficient programmer with years of experience and I couldn't get google's manual solution working, from the looks of the web, it seems the solution they tell in "help" is probably deprecated, now I have to filter me out of google analytics for ANYONE not to mess with my analytics because google can't provide proper assistance for the most basic thing a developer would need using GA. That's not helpful for the web.
One more app that everyone should run, but no one should have to.
Enfin une extension qui permet d'exclure son trafic sur son propre site!
Does this extension work on Windows 7? This extension worked well on XP. But now that I switched to Windows 7, this extension no longer works!!
Works good.
