With this extension you can easily search for text you have selected. When some text is selected you can left click the selected text to get a popup where you can choose a search engine to search with.
In the options page you can customize the look of the menu, which mouse button that should activate the menu, which search engines to show, and a lot of other things.

When you install this extension you will get a warning that this extension can:
"Access your data on all websites."
This is needed because the code for the popup-menu needs to be added to every website for it to work.

The best of the Context Search extensions available for Chrome. In an ideal world it could just use all the search engines you already have, but this extension makes it super-easy to add them from MyCroft and also supports the super handy hold-down-a-key-and-click-a-form to add them on the fly. Great effort here.

nice but i think they need more work because i have some issue
Really enjoying this feature-rich extension. May I suggest that the popup menu disappear on keypress when in a text box? That would get it out of the way after a doubleclick for copying purposes. Thank you.
Loved it, but it desperately needs an option for showing the hover button BELOW the selection. I should be able to choose where it pops up. Everything else, perfect. Keeping it.

Полезнейшее расширение! Супер! Из пожеланий - не помешало бы задавать в какой кодировке отсылать искомую строку, например, http://kinozal.tv/ требует Win-1251, а предлагаемую здесь UTF-8 он не понимает, показывает кракозябрики, например, "начало" вместо "начало".
