Our ratings, scores, and Nutrition Labels for websites are displayed next to links on search engines and social media platforms and cover all the news websites accounting for 95% of online engagement.
Ratings are conducted by a team of experienced journalists using nine basic, apolitical journalistic criteria. Each site receives a trust score of 0-100, an overall rating level ranging from “High Credibility” to “Proceed with Caution,” and a thorough Nutrition Label report detailing the site’s ownership and financing, content, credibility practices, transparency practices, and history.

This really has the potential to make the world a better place. Great work and the score cards are fascinating. I have heard people call this service biased towards left wing news sites but I as far as I can see Newsguard base their score cards on good accurate factual analysis. The "bias" appears to be highlighting that right wing new sites are more likely to produce misleading news. That's not a bias, its just reality.
Apparently curated by "emo-journalist profeshunals". CNN is given a huge greenlight, while Drudge Report is red-flagged, Nothing else to say.
Seems to be quite accurate, they are transparent and explain why sites got the rating it did. All the negative reviews are from those who had one of the bad websites they regularly visit marked as not reliable.
Thank you...
1st Review ever. Helpful for finding reliable sources when searching for information.
I have to give one star. How could they not have consortiumnews.com? It's pretty much the last real news site out there and it's been around since 1995.

CNN is fake news and you mark it a not!!!!
I couldn't find a list of sites that are deemed "untrustworthy" so cannot trust the transparency of such a plugin, nor any oversight or comments/voting system as to who decides what is "fake" and what isn't. A deeply ominous and worrying plugin overall.
