DESCRIPTION
This extension lets you make highlights on any web page, and subsequently attempts to restore those highlights when you revisit the page.
This process is completely private. The location and contents of your highlights never leave your browser.

simple and enough, that's just what you need

I love this, but I relied heavily on the ability to add my own notes to the highlight. Update. Months later and I cannot find another app that simply highlights and has the option of adding a note. There are a few but they are complicated or too simple. The note feature on this was vital. I'm still looking for a replacement.
It didn't work for me either. But guys if it doesn't work like mine install page marker. It allows you to write and hylight stuff on the page.

就 highlight 来说，这个插件应该是最好用的了，又不用绑定各种账号各种在线服务，功能也很完整。这个插件是支持快捷键的，作者都用大写的单词强调了，可惜还是有很多人看都不看。快捷键设置在 菜单 - 更多工具 - 扩展程序 - 左上角点开收缩菜单 - 键盘快捷键，或者直接跳到 chrome://extensions/shortcuts ，再配置即可。

I use it everyday. It greatly helps with my everyday work research. I would only wish they had a auto backup/sync with my Google account in case I decide to wipe my browser cache.
