Tabmanager.io is an all-in-one session, window and tab manager extension for Chrome that helps you manage your open tabs, tab-groups and windows in one convenient place.
★ Windows & Tabs
Our manager empowers you to swiftly navigate through open windows and tabs using either your mouse or keyboard. You can effortlessly switch between tabs and windows, search and filter tabs by title or URL keywords, and efficiently manage various aspects of your tabs such as pinning, sorting, grouping tabs by domain, suspending, identifying tabs with sound, and removing duplicates. Additionally, you have the option to export your tabs and windows as files for backup, save tabs for future use, and synchronize them across multiple devices.
Our manager presents a multiple column layout that enables you to gain a comprehensive overview of all your open windows and tabs while providing the flexibility to organize your windows by renaming them. Through simple drag and drop functionality, you can easily move tabs between windows, open them in new windows, or merge entire windows.
The tab manager also offers convenient features to save tabs for later restoration. You can save specific tabs within a window, save all tabs within a window, or save the entire session encompassing all open windows.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I finally feel like I have to tools to deal with all my tabs (~2500 tabs in 23 windows). I've tried other extensions (Session Buddy, Tabs Outliner, TabFern, TabFlow) and this is by far the best, especially for dealing with Tab Groups, there isn't another extension that makes organising tabs into groups as easy. [Update 2026] I've pinned data:text/html tabs in all my windows and use the following script to rename the TabManager windows to the title of the first tab in each window: document.querySelectorAll(`[aria-label="browser window"]`).forEach(w => { const name = w.querySelector(`[aria-labelledby="win-${w.id}-label"]`).firstChild.innerText; w.querySelector(`[aria-label="Name window"] button`).click(); document.getElementById('window-title').value = name; document.querySelectorAll('.MuiDialogActions-root .MuiButtonBase-root')[1].click(); }) Example pinned tab: data:text/html;charset=utf-8,<script>%20window.onbeforeunload%20=%20function()%20{%20return%20"Close%20pinned%20tab?%22};%20alert(%22interact%20with%20page%20to%20activate%20close%20block%22)%3C/script%3E%3Cstyle%3Ehead{background:%23ccc;display:block;width:100%;height:%20100%;text-align:%20center;}title{display:inline-block;top:50%;font-family:%22Segoe%20UI%22,%22Segoe%20UI%20Emoji%22;font-size:15vh;position:absolute;width:100%;left:0px;margin-top:-15vh;}%3C/style%3E%3Clink%20rel=%22icon%20shortcut%22%20href=%22data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20viewBox=%270%200%2064%2064%27%20xmlns=%27http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%27%20style=%27height:%2064px;width:%2064px;%27%3E%3Ctext%20x=%270%27%20y=%2752%27%20style=%27font-size:%2042pt%27%3E%F0%9F%93%91%3C/text%3E%3C/svg%3E%22%3E%3Ctitle%3E%F0%9F%93%91%F0%9F%A7%91%F0%9F%8F%BB%E2%80%8D%F0%9F%92%BC%20TabManager%3C/title%3E
Sezione "saved sessions", assente il pulsante per aprire le schede selezionate in nuova scheda/finestra. "Saved sessions" section, no button to open selected tabs in new tab/window.
Performance is bad
Awesome extension! The only missing functionality for my opinion is the ability to search inside the "session history" tab. Please consider to add this functionality, like in the "active session" tab.
Why is this a clone/fork of Cluster - Window & Tab Manager? https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/aadahadfdmiibmdhfmpbeeebejmjnkef
Very good work, congratulations, the best extension out there for managing groups across windows. I propose 2 additions that will make it perfect: - Take the name of the windows from the browser instead of generating random ones. I am using Edge and when I give the window a name through the native functionality, I would expect it is reflected in tabmanager but it's not - When restoring a window from a saved session, you should if possible restore the tabs in suspended mode because otherwise it takes forever and the performance is very slow...
not support tab group
Very complete Tab Manager extension. Most desirable functionalities are available and works without problems. Of course improved form of implementation and more functionalities are welcome. I liked it.
Basically just cluster with a subscription to sync and you can't view active windows with saved closed ones at the same time
This is even more stupid than other session managers, It takes forever to restore a session. It doesn't work like Chrome session restoring, meaning opening all windows and THEN trying to connect with each tab address. This piece of junk opens the next window AFTER it connected to the addresses of all the tabs of the current window. It you have 20 windows of 10 tabs each, it takes forever to have all the windows available. More than that, the windows are opened in a random order! More than that, at least one window was lost. Do not rely on this piece of junk.
