The update confuses me. It's a free service, they're welcome to do what they want, I just don't prefer the new update at all.
Bring back the old one please would give this 0 stars if i could
Totally broken. What happened to the Right Click option?
OMG they've completely ruined it! I used to use it for one-click sending of links to twitter. Now that's a right pain in the neck!
As for me I always used to post to many Twitter accounts and short the longs urls when I need to. It helped to see the name of the web-page you are on. But... But after today's update it doesn't work at all. (Windows 7) 'Better' is the enemy of 'good'. To uninstall or not to uninstall?
The previous one was so much better. I don't want to post to Twitter from Bitly. I want to copy-and-paste the entire post, with text and link, into our other Social Media programs. This used to work flawlessly, but not anymore. Now have to manually copy the link, then write the text separately. Ugh. Used to be such a dream, now such a pain ;-(
Really useful. Displaying QR Codes would make it perfect.
Awesome!
Muy bien, además se pueden personalizar los links acortados.
I admire Bitly their whole thing- it's a neat service- however i must ask about an elementary function that seems to be missing in this extension... Q: What's the use in "right-click capability" if it only works on existing links? If i want to take the URL of the page i'm on and share it on a FB or G+ post i'm writing, then i have to use the toolbar button anyway because nothing happens when i right-click an area on the page or even highlight the address in the bar, so what's the use in declaring it having right click capability? There's an option to "hide Bitly icon" in the toolbar, but if i do i lose that important function; so pretty much then i CAN"T hide the icon, huh? Pretty much i HAVE TO go and click the icon to shorten a given page's URL. I appreciate all the bells and whistles with this ext., but i want this mainly to simplify all the back & forth i usually have to do. Google's URL shortener extension does this as a kind of after thought, so why can't Bitly? Signed, Sleepless in Seattle
