Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!
Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.
Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///
Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.
Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

This is awesome it does exactly what it says and works flawlessly.
Thank you for adding in the original New Tab page to replace the updated (atrocious) New Tab page. I was on the brink of uninstalling Google Chrome entirely. When I spot something wrong,no matter how small, I get angry about it. I still don't forgive Google for replacing the Options button's Wrench icon with three bars (which makes no bloody sense compared to the original).
5 HUGE stars. Thanks to this extension, I have the old 'New Tab' page back with my apps right where I want them. No unnecessary extra clicks to get to them. Thanks!
So far so good. I was also able to reset my Apps page to open as a new tab, which is a feature I loved about the old chrome.

I installed this extension, following Chrome recent update, to have my apps on my new page . It does exactly what I need.
Nice, Goggle`s New Tab page is more like Malware! Redirect is a little slow but a good workaround. I was also about to drop chrome as my default browser.
