As a Japanese dictionary, rikaikun helps you look up the only the words you don't know without losing your place. It's also useful for Japanese speakers wanting to know how to say Japanese phrases in English.

* Enable text to speech in the options to hear Japanese words you look up spoken out load.
* Press 'c' to copy the current word and definitions to the clipboard for making flash cards.

Use it all the time. Excellent aid to reading Japanese.
Sometimes there are issues with input (parts of your message being deleted upon window popup) but the overall usefulness of the app outweighs the cons.
this is great! but could you add the romani next to the hiragana please? that would be very useful while learning. Thanks and great program.

Very helpful! Well they don't have the romaji of how to read it, so assuming you're already mastering the katakana and hiragana. But it's all right, it's good practice.
Useful, i love it so much. Without this extension, my japanese skill would not improve a mili.
Excellent tool, and I recommend it to anyone learning japanese. One quirk, and it's a small one, is that even if it says it's "on" I still have to click on it to activate it. This is required every time I open the browser, but it works great otherwise.
wouldn't try to read japanese without it. works perfectly each time.
