As a Japanese dictionary, rikaikun helps you look up the only the words you don't know without losing your place. It's also useful for Japanese speakers wanting to know how to say Japanese phrases in English.

* Enable text to speech in the options to hear Japanese words you look up spoken out load.

If it worked on gmail I'd have given it 5 stars. Excellent for web pages. My favorite feature is that it gives the readings for the kanji. Great app!
It doesn't works at times. Only furigana appears with no meaning.
This is good to use for reading Japanese Kanji.
I really love this extension, but lately now it doesn't show the definition of the highlighter word. It just shows me the word in hiragana form. Please fix that!
I was simply looking for a way for the furigana to appear above the kanji, but hey, this is pretty useful too!

直接指著字(不用滑鼠反白)就能有翻譯真的很方便.而且還有開關程式的功能.我喜歡它的漢字會標注平假名,對學漢字真方便. 但目前只有英文解釋.如果能有中譯及日文翻譯就更好了. 因為我是查詢日文字譯,英文底子很差,字譯翻成英文我也看不懂啊! 如果平假名(原設有)+朗讀發音+中譯(日譯)那就更好了.
