Salesforce has done a great job with this extension! This extension allows me to work seamlessly in Gmail, log emails to Salesforce (when appropriate), and even create new Opportunities from the side panel. In the new release I can even go to GCal and click the up arrow and push events over to Salesforce too! I use this extension's sister app Lightning Sync to push my Google Contacts over to Salesforce and they work flawlessly together. Best of all, it's free and included in the cost we already paid. Thank you!
They broke it. They pushed some sort of update that broke it's functionality with their own other product (Salesforce Inbox). Some of us need the tracking, scheduling, and email capture functionality of Salesforce Inbox, but this recent update broke that cross functionality which allowed us to use both. Sad thing, we pay handsomely for Salesforce, even more to use Inbox, and support's answer was basically: tough luck.
A ok!
It´s a nice app, but... You can only see it when you are editing or creating an event in the calendar?
Does this work for Person Accounts? When creating a contact, can I choose a record type? Does it work if you use Gmail through Outlook? Does it sync calendars?
Will this replace the Cirrus Insight App? Is it available for community Partner Users? Lastly, will it sync accounts in Salesforce with Accounts in Gmail?
The concept is great, but it breaks my email. When enabled gmail shows "still working" constantly and email messages do not show as sent etc. you must manually refresh your browser constantly. Hopefully they will get this fixed as it would be a good tool if it didn't hose everything it touches.
Acho uma extensão fantástica e apesar de uns pequenos bugs as possibilidades e potencialidades são imensas
I've updated to "Like" as it's getting better - now I've setup the sync between GApp Contacts and Salesforce.
I have installed the extension and it appears in the toolbar, but when I log into gmail, I can't see the Salesforce window that is meant to appear.
