Previously I used Groove, which makes it easier (fewer clicks) to link an email to records, but only links to certain kinds of records. The Groove interface is a little clearer and also includes a lot of marketing features. I gave up Groove because I was paying mainly for the marketing potential it offers, but wasn't using that. My clients use the Gmail extension so I need to use it as well. All in all, the Gmail for Salesforce extension does what it says, and I appreciate that I can give it to clients at no charge.
Couldn't live without it..
A very useful extension. I'd like to make it easier to add accounts that are not copied in an email. For example, I may write to a,b and c about a business X and I want to Log the Email for a, b, c and X.
Reliable and easy to use. I love being able to add new leads into Salesforce directly from Gmail.
At least on Mac OS X, doesn't work at all. Generates cross-origin errors in JavaScript console.
Beste Email und Kalender Integration mit Salesforce bisher. Für mich perfekt. Besonders gut ist das Hinzufügen von Emails zu Salesforce gelungen mit voller Unterstützung von EnhancedEmail.

Fantastic tool!
used with Cirrus Insight, Lightning for Gmail is a great tool. But since I have used Cirrus from the beginning, I am not sure how to answer the above comments on Salesforce not logging emails. I just make sure to add all my contacts to Salesforce, then select the most important contact when I send an email that I want logged. Also you can log emails in multiple accounts and contacts by selecting the contact, then clicking "Add to Salesforce" or "Added to Salesforce." Then if the contact and account are not correct or if you want to add another, just type the contact into the "Contact" field, then be sure to click the "Search" magnifying glass and choose the contact that you want. Also type in the Account you want in the "Account" field and search with the magnifying glass and choose the Account that you want, then Save.
