Great extension for leveraging ElevenLabs text to speech, which is the best quality TTS! This extension is highly promising!
This is exactly what I was looking for. Eleven labs is positioned to be THE voice AI leader and this developer made the smoothest extension for it!
Works perfectly, even with custom voices!
Works as advertised, but it's missing a very important feature. You cannot set the speed with which it reads. Also, for longer selections it takes a lot of time to start reading. My guess is that it tries to send the whole selection and then waits for the reply. It should send the first few sentences and as soon as it got the audio to send more and more of the text and queue them in memory. Also also, sometimes it skips the beginning of the first word, like the first letter or letters, or even smaller words like "the".
This is so AWESOME!!!! Keep this project up my man! Game Changer!
This is much, much better than the native macOS text-to-speech! It requires some initial configuration, but after that, it's a breeze to use.
