Switch to typing in a different language with the click of the mouse, and switch back just as easily. The Google Input Tools extension provides virtual keyboards for over 90 languages, full IMEs or direct transliteration for over 30 different scripts, and handwriting input for over 40 languages.
What's New?
✓ Malayalam now prioritize Arabic numerals as the default output when typing numbers. This change makes it easier to input numbers, as Malayalam numerals are not commonly used.
Usage Instructions:
When you first install the extension, click on the extension icon, then select "Extension Options" in the pop-up menu. A new tab will appear where you can select your preferred languages or input methods. The keyboards, IMEs or handwriting input you add to 'Selected input tools' can be enabled at any time from the extension itself. You can always return to this options page to add, remove, or change the order of your input tools.

Super cool. This is exactly what I was looking for. It has two tools that I needed. The first one allows me to type the English pronunciation of the Japanese character that I needed and the second allows me to draw out the character if I have forgotten the pronunciation. Perfect! ありがと ございます

Do not have much need for this extension. Seems to work as advertized. HOWEVER -- when accessing a website within an officially multi-lingual nation, the LOGON webpage would cycle ("flicker" on & off) endlessly. SO, simplest solution is to disable only this extension (by unchecking the Enable box). NOTE: Am using the current version of this extension (5.0.1.9) on a Chromebook with current version of Chrome OS (Version 56.0.2924.58 beta (64-bit) Platform 9000.58.0 (Official Build) beta-channel lumpy Firmware Google_Lumpy.2.111.0). Hope this helps for similar situations.
Working very good. Actually i'm using ubuntu,there is no software to write in hindi,thanks google for providing this perfect working tool...
Excellent transliteration. Far better than other apps used before.
Just Great. Wish for two more feaures: 1.Type in Chrome URL bar to support IDN domain names, as 2. Should have option for offline/caching as well to improve usability and performance.
