Switch to typing in a different language with the click of the mouse, and switch back just as easily. The Google Input Tools extension provides virtual keyboards for over 90 languages, full IMEs or direct transliteration for over 30 different scripts, and handwriting input for over 40 languages.
What's New?
✓ Malayalam now prioritize Arabic numerals as the default output when typing numbers. This change makes it easier to input numbers, as Malayalam numerals are not commonly used.
Usage Instructions:
When you first install the extension, click on the extension icon, then select "Extension Options" in the pop-up menu. A new tab will appear where you can select your preferred languages or input methods. The keyboards, IMEs or handwriting input you add to 'Selected input tools' can be enabled at any time from the extension itself. You can always return to this options page to add, remove, or change the order of your input tools.

very good tool
The bookmarklet was much more stable. This extension stops working randomly and then I have no way but to restart my browser to get it working again. The transliterate bookmarklet was great but for some reason it does not work anymore in gmail.
POS! Old Cyrillic Tranliterator works much better and faster. Unfortunately now Google is making it impossible to use Transliterator inside gmail and forces this "input tools". I need to switch from English to Cyrillic and back many times when I use gmail. Have to go back to FireFox. Thanks a lot!

Ok, but hotkey is needed to switch on/off.
can not use it all the time I need, and do not know how to switch it on and off
its very help ful. and because it is phonic so easy to type in my vernacular languagae

A good input tool. Small, fast, and clean. It only works on webpages opened by Chrome. More setting options will be very helpful, such as on-screen keyboard on/off, actions for unrecognized codes..
