The "Media Player" is a browser extension to play music and video files either locally or from online sources. This project aims to bring a VLC-liked media playing experience using native HTML5 technology. The add-on is built on top of the well-known "video.js" project by applying a few custom plug-ins to enhance the user experience. This player supports media boosting, speed control, playlist media selection, fullwidth-progress bar, HTTP-streaming (M3U8), cast to a remote device, and wave surfer visual for audio files.

Open the interface and drop the media link to it

Right-click on the player and select "Open in Media Player"

I really like this extension but I only have 1 problem with it I lose the playlist after a restart and also when you load a video that won't play it's gone also otherwise I think it's great

This is the best media player in Chrome store. I love it. please add this feature:- 1. Add support "HEVC" video codec. 2. Add option to "stretch to fit the screen" video
Fantastic little player for windows user now on a chromebook. VLC and MX player run like mobile apps with ads and designed for touch controls. obnoxious to use with a laptop and mouse. before I found this I was about to throw up my hands and install ubuntu. Well done!
I found the application solving my problem of being able to play media from my computer and playing it on Google Meet. The problem (and for me its a big problem) is that all my operations (e.g. play/ pause, playlist access) are visible to the remote users. The other problem is that when playing a media in the queue it picks the starting position to any random position, the media in the queue is not sure to start from the beginning.
doesn't work, it's a bad ap and full of advertisting. can't find a way to open media. lame
fairly useless - can't play audiobooks without crashing within a minute or two because "out of memory", extremely difficult to use with music playlists, very clunky interface - pity, I was hoping this would work
