It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

Has worked awesome for me for a couple of years. Recently though it keeps becoming "corrupted" and needs to be reset. This has been occurring on two different Macs for me.
whenever i reopen chrome, it is always disabled no matter how i tinker with the settings
I would give it 5 stars but it keeps being disabled for some reason.
This was a great extension, but recently it's been consistently getting corrupted, and I have to go to my extension tab to reenable it.
Looks to work well but now it needs to be repaired every time. Don't know why it keeps being disabled???

Love this plugin. I use it for schoolwork since my teachers tend to talk really slowly. Lately, I've been getting told that the plugin is getting corrupted. This is the 4th time I'm reinstalling it. Anyone else having this issue?
I tried this only for netflix cuz it doesn't have playback speed options, and find it super useful across the broad! Even with some live-streams where it buffers like 60s which make the live delay super long, I can use it to skip ahead and keep up with the live action!
LOVE IT!!! Except, starting Summer 2019, Chrome constantly marks it as corrupted and you have to repair it (from the extension menu) constantly. Every time you restart chrome, it seems corrupted again. PLEASE FIX!
Great, but sometimes it says it's 'corrupted' for some reason and this has been going on for months.
