It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

Fantastic tool. One of my favourite extensions by far! Having a bit of an issue in recent months where it stops working, but a quick trip to chrome://extensions and a click on the Repair button gets it up and running again. A small price to pay for an otherwise awesome utility and I still think it deserves 5 stars: it does what it says and does it well! Can anyone shed some light on the intermittent crashing though? Could it be something I'm doing or something that needs to be updated in the extension itself?
It's got a virus. It's injecting affiliate links.
I loved it but now it keeps crashing and I have to keep repairing on my google chrome, latest version macbook pro.
This was an extension that I used multiple times each day, but over the last two weeks it breaks, removes itself from Chrome, says it needs to be repaired. Any update from the developers. It is def a 5 star tool when it is working. What are the other alternatives that work for YT videos and other non-YT videos?
It seems from past few days it is not working on google chrome. Is there any issue going on?

I love this extension WHEN is actually works. I have to reinstall it every other day because it gets corrupted and removes itself from my extensions. Really annoying and counterproductive
ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL When I first installed it, it had what I needed (the speed controller), so I was satisfied, to be sure, but when I discovered that it also had all those other features, I was enthralled by its usefulness, and ever since that day, I have used some (but usually all) features of this extension every single day. Would recommend, 11/10 (it makes sense cuz it had so much more than what I wanted)
