Adds a padlock icon that allows toggling each tab's lock/unlocked state. When a locked tab is being closed, a confirmation dialog which allows preventing the tab from closing, is displayed.
📣 IMPORTANT: after locking, some interaction with the page is required for it to work. So you need to, for example, click anywhere on the page after locking to actually prevent the tab from being closed. This is how Chrome works.

what i needed, thanks
This extension works exactly as described. A few notes: - As the developer states, you MUST interact with the page after enabling the lock. Scrolling is NOT enough. You must click on something: a link, type in something into a search box (and then erase it if you want), etc. - After installing the plugin, some existing tabs will not lock unless you RELOAD them - this is probably because they keep background websockets open preventing the extension from doing its thing.

I guess I misunderstood the functionality of the add-on. I thought it would prevent the tab from being closed. Unfortunately, I was able to close the locked tab without any problems.
In brave dont work, I dont have chrome, but in brave dont work, I close the tab and the tab closes easily
Perfect. Really needed this. Too bad chrome doesn't have this built-in... And with the limitations, this is great for my need. Will save me lots of mistaken tab closes... Thanks Mr. dev, Gabriel Maldi.
This extension saved me from countless accidental tab closures. I use it daily for important dashboards and booking systems. Simple, lightweight, and works exactly as promised. Highly recommended for anyone who values peace of mind while browsing!
Super handy — I recommend it for clumsy folks like me who always hit Command + W by mistake
Absolute FAIL. Description says this extension "Prevents a tab from being closed accidentally," which it sort of does -- but it also keeps me from navigating within a site without giving permission, and giving permission quietly unlocks the tab, allowing me to accidentally close the tab. Fail fail fail. From reading the developer's responses to other reviews, Chrome does not allow a useful approach. Okay fine. Put this information in the description so we know the extension doesn't usefully do what it says, and can't be fixed because Chrome. I resent having my time wasted because of an incomplete and misleading description. Plonk.
Make the "leave site / cancel" popup default to cancel. It's too easy to accidentally hit return and then it defeats the whole point of having the pinned tab not close (or change).
