There seems to be some misunderstanding about ShareX. There are 2 primary sources to get/install ShareX on a Windows PC: 1) Microsoft Store - This is a "stripped down" version with less integration options (@Theo Tao describes), designed to be compatible with multiple device types. 2) getsharex.com - Full version (all options and integrations). If you just want to use ShareX and most of it's primary features, use the Microsoft Store version. If you want all the options, integrations and browser extensions, download from getsharex.com Hope this helps clear up some of the confusions on here.
I’m struggling to understand this situation. It's stated that the extension can only be utilized in conjunction with the ShareX application downloaded on a computer: "Note: This extension is designed to be used alongside the open-source application ShareX (https://getsharex.com) to integrate with the Chrome browser. This extension is not intended for use by individuals who do not have ShareX." Additionally, it mentions: "If you are using ShareX, please navigate to 'Application settings window -> Integration tab -> Chrome extension panel.'" However, when I go to my desktop ShareX, in the Application settings window under the Integration tab, there is no Chrome extension panel to choose. I only see a "Windows" frame with a checkbox that cannot be selected.

Perfect I love the compatibility
Fits well into my workflow, I wish I could execute my capture step with a separate menu item. Getting to choose capture, or capture and upload, from the menu items would be posh. Thanks!

This Extension still working as well. You need to go to Application settings, then navigate to Integration and enable Chrome Extension support. The developer has included this instruction in their description.
