Overview

Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

Make sure to use Chrome version 84+ with this extension, otherwise the automatic selection of the locationbar text doesn't work.

Since Google updated Chrome to version 29, the App overview is no longer shown, when opening a new tab. This extension restores that behaviour to the way it was.

Tip: the keyboard shortcut CTRL+L (Windows/Linux) or CMD+L (macOS) highlights the URL.

v.3.0.0

* Upgraded to manifest V3. The rest of the extension code is exactly the same as version 2.1.0. Please bear in mind that the display of the apps is handled by internal Chrome code. This means that this extension has no influence over how that looks.

* Fixed a bug so that the address bar is highlighted again

After Chrome finally got rid of Enable Instant Extended API, luckily I was able to find this extension which allows you to open a new tab to show apps... Why did they remove it? No clue, stupid move. Just leave the option, but no! Thanks for this extension.

Not quite the old tab experience, but has the only part I really need.

Atfer chrome updated to v .33 you cannot get the new page apps tab by disabling Instant Extended API because they removed the option to do so. The only way you can get it back is through this amazing app, so thank you for that.

Even if it don't get back the "recent closed" selector, have the apps tab is better then noting

At last! I was trying to find an option in Chrome settings for ages to get new tabs to show apps as they used to. Thank you so much to the developer of this extension for finally bringing this functionality back!

The screenshot is misleading. It does show you your apps, but not the Recently Closed or Other Devices.
