PDF.js is a Portable Document Format (PDF) viewer that is built with HTML5.
PDF.js is community-driven and supported by Mozilla. Our goal is to create a general-purpose, web standards-based platform for parsing and rendering PDFs.
This extension offers PDF.js as the default PDF viewer in Chrome. This is the official Chrome extension of the PDF.js project. Be careful of unrelated copycats.
If you want to use this viewer to view local files, visit chrome://extensions/?id=oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm and put a check before "Allow access to file URLs".

установил так как с последним обновлением chrome Версия 78.0.3904.97 (Официальная сборка), (64 бит), перестал открывать файлы PDF встроенный просмоторщик, очень часто работаю с PDF бывает за день до 200-300 документов, как починить не нашел писал в саппорт google, чистил кэш переустанавливал приложение, причем такая ситуация и на виндовой машинке и линуховой. Этот плагин очень выручил. Спасибо...P.S. за ресурсами не наблюдал ОЗУ хватает с лихвой)
This seems like a well overall rounded PDF viewer for Chrome. There seems to still be some kinks and bugs to work out, but this is the best PDF viewer I've found. Cheers!
当方のChromeではPDFが草書体に。 私は江戸時代の人間じゃありませんので、流れるような美しい毛筆体ではまともに仕事もできません。とはいえ一々ダウンロードしてAcrobatで読むのも面倒。 このプラグインのおかげで、MS明朝で表示されるようになりました。大感謝です。

I save PDFs by copying the paper's title header, clicking Save, and pasting the title. I was looking for a better pdf viewer since the default one stopped allowing me to copy text. I found this viewer. I checked it could copy. I was happy. And then I noticed IT DOESN'T ALLOW TO SET THE FILE NAME WHEN SAVING....!!! #SlashMyWrists
