PDF.js is a Portable Document Format (PDF) viewer that is built with HTML5.
PDF.js is community-driven and supported by Mozilla. Our goal is to create a general-purpose, web standards-based platform for parsing and rendering PDFs.
This extension offers PDF.js as the default PDF viewer in Chrome. This is the official Chrome extension of the PDF.js project. Be careful of unrelated copycats.
If you want to use this viewer to view local files, visit chrome://extensions/?id=oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm and put a check before "Allow access to file URLs".

(I am not a super technical user) I have a Mac desktop currently running Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 recently have not been able to open pdf's in the web browser - added the extension to Chrome and it works beautifully. Thank you.

I downloaded it in order to be able to preview PDFs before downloading but it is not helping me.
It doesn't work on arxiv.org, (sad-_-), hope developer fix this bug as soon as possible.

I would rate 5 star but due to one function. Which is need to upgrade for the find function, where the page should display all the match word with highlighted in the scroll tab as well which will be easier to find the matched word easily in long document or articles.
