PDF.js is a Portable Document Format (PDF) viewer that is built with HTML5.
PDF.js is community-driven and supported by Mozilla. Our goal is to create a general-purpose, web standards-based platform for parsing and rendering PDFs.
This extension offers PDF.js as the default PDF viewer in Chrome. This is the official Chrome extension of the PDF.js project. Be careful of unrelated copycats.
If you want to use this viewer to view local files, visit chrome://extensions/?id=oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm and put a check before "Allow access to file URLs".

It takes a bit longer to print files (than just downloading and printing does), but the previews are nice for times when you don't want to download or print every pdf file.
Amazing, this used to be slow when showing bookmarks/page thumbnails but nowadays it's working amazingly well. This should become Chrome's default PDF viewer :)

Has some new weird bugs with latest chrome updates. Causes my open windows to go blank as well as other problems.

I can confirm: this add-on solves the problem where Google Chrome won't open downloaded pdfs in external applications (even if that's the default behavior for the OS, spesified by the user) but rather opens them in new tabs cluttering your workspace and breaking your workflow. It's a shame this plugin isn't very fast, but I'm going to give it 5 stars because it seems like the best way to circumvent Google's retardness. Thanks, developers. You're a godsend.
