PDF.js is a Portable Document Format (PDF) viewer that is built with HTML5.
PDF.js is community-driven and supported by Mozilla. Our goal is to create a general-purpose, web standards-based platform for parsing and rendering PDFs.
This extension offers PDF.js as the default PDF viewer in Chrome. This is the official Chrome extension of the PDF.js project. Be careful of unrelated copycats.
If you want to use this viewer to view local files, visit chrome://extensions/?id=oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm and put a check before "Allow access to file URLs".

Extraordinaria. Un avance genial gracias al uso del html5. Puntualmente, instalé el Chromium compilado en 64 bits y me anda mucho mejor que el Chrome de 32 bits en mi máquina. Pero, hay extensiones que no funcionan, porque no están en 64 bits aún, como el Hangouts... y el plugin de ver pdfs de Adobe... Así que esto en html5 me permitió ver a enorme velocidad y estabilidad, pdfs directamente en mi navegador 64 bits. Recomiendo esta solución para quienes tengan mi mismo inconveniente de falta de plugins 64 bits. Ahora deberían hacer el Hangouts en html5... un desafío...

I started using pdf.js in a recent work project and love it. Great job integrating it into Chrome.
zoom and font continue to be problematic sidebar weirdly start to popup despite configurations now this enables me to always be able to drag text in pdf to tabs to search just like normal webpages (since it's html) since it's an extension, chrome disabling backspace ruined my old way of navigating pages.
The app is great. BUT, is there any way to set the default zoom. I am having to re-size every page to get it where I want it. Thanx
