PDF.js is a Portable Document Format (PDF) viewer that is built with HTML5.
PDF.js is community-driven and supported by Mozilla. Our goal is to create a general-purpose, web standards-based platform for parsing and rendering PDFs.
This extension offers PDF.js as the default PDF viewer in Chrome. This is the official Chrome extension of the PDF.js project. Be careful of unrelated copycats.
If you want to use this viewer to view local files, visit chrome://extensions/?id=oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm and put a check before "Allow access to file URLs".

Text is unclear when you fit to page textbook. Crash with heavy documents. It could be te best pdf reader for chrome,but needs a little bit of tweak.
Thank you a lot! I'm using Chromium with this and it works just great. Now I have no need to install proprietary PDF plugin from Chrome.
Using control+scroll wheel causes the whole "page" to zoom instead of just the PDF. This includes the PDF Viewer-generated toolbar, and since Chrome is treating the PDF output as bitmap, it causes it to look horrendous as it zooms. You have to manually use the Zoom drop-down at the top-center in order for zoom to function correctly on the PDF itself.
One minor criticism: when offering to download the viewed PDF, it does not preserve the original filename, which I wish it would.
