This extension will open a Compose window in Gmail when you click any email address on a webpage. It also provides a button that will create a Gmail message when clicked, using the page title as the subject and selected page text and link address as the message. For setting the domain name of your "Google Apps for your domain" account, click Options.

never works. I am using Chrome on Mac, so maybe that is the issue?

I agree with Cali Flower (Aug 7, 2013), this should be baked in, but I am down rating this app and removing/replacing it because it does not work as advertised. Clicking on 'mailto' links does not open gmail as described. Chrome still opens Outlook when cliking emailadresses. Flop!!
very good email to use i found it easier and better than hitmail
Was a five, until it abruptly stopped working. Tried uninstalling the Chrome Extension, then re-installing it, but to no avail :(
It's supposed to make gmail the default email application, right? Well, it does not do it,-/
Great it works perfectly and I like the added functionality of being able to email the page that I am at as a link with the subject already filled in. Thanks.
