The controls also block your view, which can get really annoying. Hyde is a simple Chrome extension that allows you to hide or show the video player controls easily.

It was working fine until recently. It hides the controls, but not the play bar. Is there any way to remedy this issue?
Great, but PLEASE put the shortcut in the drop down information. Every time I use the extension, I need to go to the webpage to remind myself what the shortcut is. And why not just make it a click-extension activation?

When using the Vivaldi browser on a Mac, the ⌘M shortcut is assigned to the "Minimize Page" function, which interferes with other commands. Since it's impossible to change this shortcut within Vivaldi, it renders certain functions unusable. Therefore, I'd like the option to assign a shortcut other than ⌘M to avoid this conflict.
To run this application in the Brave browser, you need to remap the keyboard shortcuts in the Settings
Sehr gut. Works even if you need it at the current moment and you haven't installed it. If you installed it, you can use it without restarting the browser. I wanted to make a screenshot at an exact frame I luckily hit perfectly and had to get a solution. This plugin did the job.

It works properly on chrome but has no effect on brave browser, any fix for that?
I've made the switch to Edge (don't rail on me - i'm a developer - it just easier not to fight edge dominance in windows). So ultimately this doesn't work because edge does not allow you to reassign their hotkeys. ctrl-m mutes the video by side affect of muting the edge app via the windows sound mixer. I think though, if you could add the ability to change your ctrl-m hotkey to something else this extension just might work in edge. Please look into it! :D Or, maybe just toggle when the plug-in is clicked on on edge's/chrome's toolbar? Update! It's hard to get to but keyboard shortcuts ARE available! I remapped the plugin to Alt-C and everything is right with the world! ;)
