When you pause a YouTube video, the player controls don't disappear. That makes it really hard to take a clean screenshot of the video. The controls also block your view, which can get really annoying. Hyde is a simple Chrome extension that allows you to hide or show the video player controls easily.

Nice one. Gets rid of the persistent controls in YouTube when paused. But don't forget to press CTR+M to happen!:))

Doesn't work at all. Only mutes YouTube. Waste of time. Edit: Replying to Karm. Yup that was it. Thanks for clarifying there. I went ahead and gave your app 5 stars. Doesn't work on Brave browser but Works great on pure Chrome. Left old comment for context. Thanks.

Without hiding the red bar (even when pressing ctrl+m it just doesn't do the job. Shame cause it really does seem to be able to tick the box but just doesn't work
