Will not work in my windows environment. Running on Admin does not seem to fix bug. If anyone has a Mac available, it does work on that still. It must be something with the Windows Update messing with the way UAC works.
It was really put to good use and it helped. But now my flash drive has different partitions, how can I make it into one again???
it gives me a prompt but if i say no i get a error and when i click yes on the window propt it closes the recovery app. downgraded it to the 2020 version and that will stop the app from closeing its self so the app gets good
Received Brand New Chromebook Go. Powered on and was taken immediately to recovery page as no OS was found. Followed instructions on creating Recovery drive on my pc with a flash drive or microSD card. Have tried both drive and micro sd several times, failed several times. Made sure they were formatted completely. Also tried running chrome as admin as suggested, but still cant get past the Writing don't remove drive screen. It's shown 0% after a full night running in the background. Not sure how to get around making this a $350 unusable paper weight. Any suggestions?
As mentioned by other reviewers, running chrome first as an administrator seems to work. Otherwise, chrome will crash immediately after the UAC prompt. We manage several thousand chromebooks in a school environment via Google's managed device interface, and it's especially sad that Google doesn't have a viable enterprise tool for bare metal recovery.
