I can find no faults, except for the fact that I have to use Google for an image search, but I don't think that's enough to deter you from using it. I was concerned about quality when I first switched, but I've only found better search and image results with DuckDuckGo than with Google. If you're still on the fence about making the switch, do it. There's no reason not to and every reason to do so.

Biggest thing it lacks for me is a way to change the default chrome search engine from "https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%s" to "https://safe.duckduckgo.com/?q=%s" to force safe mode searching. The only way I can change it is if I uninstall the extension.

Duckduckgo has been excellent to work with as a search engine. It avoids all advertising and blocks all sites from saving your information. It truly provides you with total privacy. The sense of security you have while searching and going anywhere and not being tracked is truly phenomenal. This is something that Google lacks or has been in the last couple of years is providing any sense of security to each client. They offer free services and will not no matter how significant your problems are in using Chrome are will never provide free Technical support. It has you use the Google support (which I find redundant) and the Google Community which only helps you to a certain point. They continue to insist on not providing a phone number for free technical support. Only if you purchase one of their products will they offer you any technical support. I have been battling with horrific Google Chrome issues for the last 4 months and I have tried everything possible. There have been no solutions to my problems with the Google support or with the Google Community. At least with Duckduckgo you don't have to worry about any software issues occurring. It's all fail safe. Even if you use it with Mozilla Firefox it works well with that browser you just have to be aware of it not saving your private/ personal passwords and certain personal information. Works great, but requires you to use DuckDuckGo as your search engine, with no option to change it. The only way is to disable or uninstall the extension to switch to a different search engine.
