Go back with the backspace button! This extension re-enables the backspace key as a back navigation button -- except if you're writing text.
What's New in 3.0:

* Updated to Manifest V3.
Before Chrome 52, the backspace key navigated back (if you weren't writing text). Many people lost their progress while working online by accidentally pressing backspace and leaving a page -- so we removed the feature from Chrome, and created this extension for those who prefer the old behavior.
This extension can't restore backspace on certain special pages, for example any of the "chrome://" pages such as Settings or Extensions.

Does not work.
Shameful... I had to double check that it is actually Google that is offering this buggy extension. This extension breaks many websites depending on how they implement text fields. Sometimes you'll hit backspace to fix a small mistake in the text you just typed, and you'll find that this extension caused the browser to navigate back a page. This is something that never used to happen when the "Go back with backspace" functionality was built into the browser..
Why is this not a flag in chrome://flags? Bizarre and unintuitive
文字入力中のbackキーで画面が戻る最低の仕様。こんな中途半端な物を公式で出しているのに呆れる。ユーザーを無視した改悪ばかり。

from the day chrome developers decided to set a new page with google search bar in it i knew something was turning things to ugly in google... really? remove something that's been there for 20 years? it's such a bad idea that i'm turning back to Firefox. oh and another thing.. the next update: remove close click button because someone could hit it accidentally and add an extension to fix this "problem" shame on you
Dose not work on google drive where I want to use it the most!! Uninstalling- Please can I have my back button back before I start using fire fox again....
