This extension allows to find and delete duplicate bookmarks, empty folders, merge folders with the same name (within the same path), find no longer working and expired bookmarks and remove them easily.
Permissions explained:
1. Read and change your bookmarks(required on install) - required for core functions to work
2. Read and change all your data on the websites you visit(optional, not asked until you use Broken URLs checker) – to check if bookmarked page loads and doesn't return any error.

Wow! Absolutely amazing. Started by removing duplicates one-by-one on my own then I found this and it took me 5 minutes to clean out 200 duplicates, 9 empty folders, and 8 broken links. Such a great tool.
Not that big into rating stuff online, but this is the best, easiest tool to use when your bookmarks are out of control. And it's free--it's something, IMO, that should be built into Chrome. Just BACKUP first in case something goes wrong (as per developer suggestion)!
brilliant idea~!
Whenever I tried to remove broken links and it found a URL that Chrome labeled malicious, the extension would try to go to that page. Clicking 'back to safety' took me to an empty page, and the broken links process it had spent 20+ minutes on now had to start over. Gave up after the 3rd try.
Super simple. Intuitive. Nice design. Works as advertised. Thank you!!
