Overview

Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

When you control your time on distracting websites, you’ll find you have far more time to focus on the things that matter most.

To use Limit, simply enter the websites you find distracting and choose a daily time limit. For example, you could limit yourself to ten minutes a day on Facebook, or half an hour a day on Duolingo.

When you approach your limit, Limit gently notifies you your time is almost up, so you can wrap up. And when you've reached your limit, you'll be directed to Freedom's calming Green Screen when you try to visit a limited website.

- You can add or delete any website from the list of sites

- Your time limit for each site is configurable, from 5 to 500 minutes

- Limit comes pre-seeded with 10 distracting sites

It's awesome! 11/10. If I had to nit-pick, I would say a countdown or time remaining option would be nice. Otherwise this extension is completely helping me towards my goals of healthier online habits. Thank you to the developers!

Limit works very well for me. After searching extensively for a free site blocker for Windows this was the only one I could find that would work "while" I'm in the middle of using the site. Eg on Messenger. Every other one I tried would block me after the time limit was reached, but only if I exited the page and tried to get back in. Timers would just start at 0 again and I could be on there for hours until I moved away from that page. So Limit is the only one that has blocked me literally mid-sentence. Lately a few times, I've had to send lengthy blocked messages a day later, if I don't wish to retype them on another device. So, I'm obviously needing it. My only criticism would be I agree with another reviewer, that a warning enabling at least the message to be sent would be helpful. Though I understand extensions may be limited in having that ability? I noticed I was close today 10 minutes to go, and then I got caught up in my writing and just forgot and bam. I had to delete Limit and reinstall as it was a time sensitive message that needed sending. However, I won't make a habit of that, as what would be the point of having it. Thanks. I just wish the Freedom app could do similar with blocking apps on ios as there is nothing that works like this.

Great extension! Loving it. Please add feature of either automatically logging out of the "blocked" website or give 10 seconds grace time for manually logging out. E.g. I've put limit on Facebook for 10 mins, as soon as 10 mins gets over it completely shuts me away from Facebook and then I'm unable to logout as well. I don't want to kept logged into account.

Very Helpful! It's done wonders for limiting my doom scrolling. I noticed some people commenting that the countdown clock appearing on every site was distracting, but I've found that if you right click the icon and choose "Manage Extensions" you can add just the sites you want to block there. Then the clock only appears on those sites. Extra work, I guess, but it is a free app. And you only have to add the sites once...

Love the full Freedom app, and this has the potential to be a nifty little add-on. Biggest inconvenience is that, as is, it shows the time counter on every website you go to (even one's that you're not limiting your time on). That's a deal breaker. Integration with the full Freedom would also be much appreciated.
