High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

I have cataracts, and was hoping this would give me some nice, dark web pages that I could see more easily, but no. First, they have 6 preset color schemes, which all sound pretty good until you try them and realize they just alter the colors in the same way. So if you have that ever-annoying gray text on a gray background - it's still going to be hard to see because it's some color background with the text being a variant on the same color, but a little darker. They have one setting that makes all colors a shade of yellow on top of a black background, which I thought would help a lot, but it was pretty terrible. It made the text more readable, but everything was so ugly it wasn't worth it, plus yellow is still really bright. It's a shame they don't allow you to choose your own colors. Don't waste your time with this one.

Все пишут что страница увеличивается в размерах, не критично, но доработать стоит.
Enjoy the flexibility it gives. The "new" soft-gray lettering is all but impossible to read.
Não achei que ajudou e muito menos que faz as funções para que se destina. Deixa uma página com rolagem quase INFINITA; e não muda as cores, apenas as inverte (Inverter cores). Além de que eu encontrei essa extensão pois apareçeu em uma publicidade de OUTRA extensão do google chrome.
