Our ratings, scores, and Nutrition Labels for websites are displayed next to links on search engines and social media platforms and cover all the news websites accounting for 95% of online engagement.
Ratings are conducted by a team of experienced journalists using nine basic, apolitical journalistic criteria. Each site receives a trust score of 0-100, an overall rating level ranging from “High Credibility” to “Proceed with Caution,” and a thorough Nutrition Label report detailing the site’s ownership and financing, content, credibility practices, transparency practices, and history.

This is a wonderful extension, it helps me pick reliable news sources, so I know I am getting a fair and balanced information. Especially on Facebook!
Simple and easy to use.
Love this tool, it helps me check bias and weigh news. It's not perfect, but its improving every day.
It's fine for me but common sense is often better. It's good for those new to the internet
This is a great source. I use it with my journalism students to teach media literacy. I am disappointed by all the 1 star reviews by people with low media literacy. There's a lot of cognitive dissonance going on in these reviews here. Goodness. Let me ask you this -- if they were truly biased in favor of the liberal media, why is Fox News (technically) rated green? Sheesh. Also, the 9 standards of credibility listed on their website say nothing about whether a news source is liberal or conservative. Maybe some people are just bitter that the news site that confirms all their suspicions isn't actually as credible -- or evidence-based -- as they thought...
Great in-depth analysis.
Great. When source is listed as invalid you can check why is that, so all those people saying here it is propaganda are wrong.
Many complain about "Fake News" still coming through. Which is only partially true because most fake news sites are filtered out. You should also be weary about the political alignment of the corperation behind it, Microsoft being a american multi billion corporation many have complained about the bad ratings of right leaning news outlets and others have complained about the bad ratings of non western news outlets like Sputnik, RT, and the good ratings of websites like The Sun or the German equivalent Die Bild, which published fake news in the past and don't follow basic journalistic standards, which, again, is very understandable. Overall a handy tool to have to help you double check information and to make researching easier, even if by far not all news sites are registered in their data banks and you still shouldn't trust them blindly.
Great extension! Super nice to know whether the site I'm reading is legit.
