Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!
Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.
Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///
Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.
Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

What happened with focus and not highlighting the URL? I loved this extension before and fear I will now have to disable it because I can't just open a new tab and start typing like I am used to. Please fix it!

HOW DO I GET TO IT, it says "added to your chrome" but i dont know how to get to my "chrome"
Very useful extention Tip: If you want to uninstall, go to chrome://extensions/?id=icpgjfneehieebagbmdbhnlpiopdcmna and click the Bin icon.
app works great. a bit slow when redirecting but reasonable. especially good when using [ chrome://apps/ ] for the old new tab page. only problem is when you open a new tab the text in omnibar isn't "marked" forcing deletion of the address shown (in my personal use the apps page address) hope the makers fix this soon.
Justo lo que buscaba para solucionar la gran cagada de google con la nueva página de pestañas nuevas. Con esta extensión puedes volver a poner las aplicaciones como página de inicio cada vez que abres una pestaña nueva, y sustituir es página inútil que habían puesto que mostraba parte de tu historial (saltándose toda la privacidad)
Please have the entire address bar highlighted instead of the cursor ending up at the end if possible. Great extension, ty!
