Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!
Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.
Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///
Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.
Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

Sorry, too much permission access needed now.
If you hate Google's "New New Tab Page", you will love this. This brings some sanity back to the Chrome browser. 1) Download this incredible thing! 2) I went to chrome://extensions/ 3) Click options under Tab Redirect 4) Under "My new tab page should show this URL:", type chrome://apps 5) Profit THANK YOU JIM SCHUBERT!!!!!!!!!
Thank the Gods, and Jim. Never again do I have to view that nexus of technical malfunction known as a New Tab Page.
Just a comical idea, why not make the header of the tab editable, instead of new tab redirect. I could change it to "contacting server: Area 51" :)

Keeps reseting my chrone, bloody annoying!
Now it wants to manage my apps, extensions and themes, disabled and removed.
It would be really great if this didn't keep disabling itself every couple of days.
It was just awful. Poor design and absolutely no customization ability.
It has been a very useful app but concerned as to why the new version needs so many extra permissions and extra access to your browser set up. Hopefully the developer will address this asap.
