Would rate it five(5) stars only if there was the ability to block or immediately send Unknown Callers(blocked caller ID) to voice-mail. Combine Google Voice with Yate(Yet Another Telephony) client and you can place/receive calls with your computer ! Combine Google Voice with GrooveIP to place/receive calls for free with any android phone even if it has no service you only need a WiFi connection. All-In-All I cannot live without Google voice and recommend it to everyone I can!
I've been a user since it was originally introduced as Grand Central. I love it and use it all the time. I like the fact that I can switch between land lines, mobile numbers and chat sessions. I also use the settings so that I do not receive business calls before 7am or after 5pm. The voice to text messages often have somewhat garbled messages (misinterpreted words). However, the point of most messages is clear enough to provide a proper response. I like the fact that I can respond to those messages via text or email when I’m in locations where a phone call is not appropriate or allowed (i.e. on an airplane). On my computer, I often use Google Voice to make calls. I really like the way it calls my phone and then connects my calls. While you can use it to make calls through Google chat, I often prefer to use the phone connecting capabilities so that I can dedicate my internet connection for screen sharing and such. There are times when it doesn't seem to save settings when I change between my mobile, work and home phone. If they were to improve this, I will give it 5 stars.
It won't install, nor will Google Video Chat. Both used to work great. Repeated installs. No luck. Google has zero help. Until they let us phone them for paid help they will be a second rate operation.
How could you get any better. GOOGLE VOICE IS AWESOME!!!!!!
Can't live without it
Good app, but can't submit a bug. Every few minutes I am alerted that I have a new txt message, but I don't. I've already viewed the message. The alert will go away after about a minute, and then come back again about 3-5 minutes later. Please fix this!!!
Love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love. Transcriptions are fantastically hilarious. I can text from my desk at work without having another device on my desk. The ease of downloading messages in MP3 is phenomenal. <3 you, Google.
Gets a lot of names wrong, but otherwise a fine helpful app

I wish you could change the sound for receiving a notification. It would also be nice if you could receive desktop notifications. Other than that, this extension works well.
